very cute!!
what a pretty thing to make and to wear
Love this sweater and very easy to do! I did find one errata. In the yoke row 2 at the end DC, ch-1 only once before joining to Ch 3 or else you will end up with a 5 shell and not a 4 shell.
mary just sent u email about your flamingo bay shell on the side tank i really love it hope you well answer my email thank at dnvanvalkenburg@yahoo.com ok from diana
very cute crochet top. I want to start crocheting it, but your guage says 9 st. 4 inches, you mean 18st 4 inches. 9 st, is 2 inches. Susie
Thanks, Susie. The gauge is correct as stated. This top is crocheted around with the base chain forming the side seam, not the bottom of the garment. After stitching the rectangle, you join the short sides together to form a tube. Also, to correctly measure the gauge, you need to crochet a few rows as this stitch REALLY stretches. The first couple of rows will be tighter because the beginning chain kind of draws in the stitches. Hope this helps.
Oh wait, Susie. I see where the confusion is. It should read 9 SC = 4 inches. You are correct in that if you include the CH-1 it would be 18/4in.
I need some help with this tutorial. Please explain me more about that: *ch-1, skip one ch, sc in next ch* across. My English isn't so good, but if You will explain more, then I will hopefully understand this.
Thank You!
